Gabapentin -antiepileptic drug and its therapeutic uses

 Gabapentin is an anti-epileptic medication also called as an anticonvulsant.

PHARMACOKINETIC
• Half life: 5-7 hrs.
• Excretion: renal.

 THERAPEUTIC USES
• Epilepsy for partial seizures.
• Neuropathic pain
• Bipolar disorder
• Mood stabilizer
• Neuralgia.
• Insomnia

SIDE EFFECTS
• Sleepiness.
• Dizziness.
• Increased risk of suicide.
