Gabapentin -antiepileptic drug and its therapeutic uses

 Gabapentin is an anti-epileptic medication also called as an anticonvulsant.

PHARMACOKINETIC
Half life: 5-7 hrs.
Excretion: renal.

 THERAPEUTIC USES
Epilepsy for partial seizures.
Neuropathic pain
Bipolar disorder
Mood stabilizer
Neuralgia.
Insomnia

SIDE EFFECTS
Sleepiness.
Dizziness.
Increased risk of suicide.
