MEPHENTERMINE
Description: A sympathomimetic agent with mainly indirect effect on adrenergic receptors.
CLASS-AMPHETAMINES
Uses: Maintain blood pressure in hypotensive states, as a cardiac stimulant.
Adverse Drug Reactions: Drowsiness, incoherence, hallucinations, reflex bradycardia, urinary retention, dyspnea, reduced appetite, insomnia, irritability
Drug-Drug Interactions:
Mephentermine + acetaminophen/ +acetyl salicylic acid/ +butalbital/ +articaine/ +amphetamine = increased risk or severity of adverse effects
Mephentermine + atomoxetine= increased hypertensive activities
