• It is an antifungal drug.

• Absorption: not orally
• Excretion: fecal excretion
• Half life: 14-17 hrs.
USES
• Candidemia
• Acute disseminated candidiasis.
• Oesophageal candidiasis
• Alternate treatment in oropharngeal candidiasis
• Prophylaxis in haematopoietic stem cell transfer patient
SIDE EFFECTS
• Flushing
• Mild nausea
• Vomiting
• Insomnia
• Febrile neutropenia
• thrombocytopenia
