DESCRIPTION
A nicotin is cholinergic antagonist, poorly absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract and does not cross the blood brain barrier.
THERAPEUTIC USES:
Treatment of urinary tract infection, for prophylactic or suppressive treatment of frequently recurring UTI, when long term therapy is considered necessary.
SIDE EFFECTS
Chemically induced hemorrhagic cystitis
DRUG DRUG INTRERACTION
Hexamethonium+acetazolamide/+aluminium hydroxide/+diclofenamide = therapeutic efficacy of hexamethonium is decreased
Hexamethonium+erythromycin=increased risk or severity of hexamethonium
