Mechanism of action of Hyoscine butylbromide-
Pharmacological studies have revealed that hyoscine butylbromide is an anticholinergic drug with high
affinity for muscarinic receptors located on the smooth-muscle cells of the GI
tract. Its anticholinergic action exerts a smooth-muscle
relaxing/spasmolytic effect.
